No, no I can’t. Some films you just don’t need to touch. This is one of them.

It’s news like this that makes the baby Jesus cry.

Tony Scott is in charge this time, fresh from remaking The Taking of Pelam 123 (another film that didn’t need  a remake). I don’t mind his stuff, Spy Game was good fun. But is there any need? No, no there isn’t. Not at all. Oh, wait! It’s a re-imagining! That’s ok then. FFS. More news over at Rotten Tomatoes

    Add also Highlander and Poltergeist to the remake barrel, cos they’re coming back too!

    I think they’ve missed the point with Highlander, don’t remake the first one, remake the sequels. Where they go on about all that alien shit.

    The second Matrix film reminded me of the second Highlander film. In as much that, it was such a terrible waste of a great idea. In fact I think I remember saying that not since Highlander 2 had I been let down as badly by a sequel.

    Yes I was wise in my youth, wise and cynical. Now I’m just cynical.
